eRooster: Video Hosting Private Policy

Erooster Inc.'s Web site and multimedia content therein at Erooster.tv (the "Site") are available to the general public for viewing without requirement of user registration or establishment of a user account. However, users must register with Erooster and establish a user account in order to (1) participate in Erooster contests; (2) upload videos, text, pictures, and/or other media; (3) vote on site content, post comments, or flag videos as indecent, inappropriate, and/or offensive.

  1. Account

    1. To establish an Erooster account, you will need to provide a valid e-mail address, a user name, and a personally chosen password. This will protect your account from unauthorized access by a third party.

    2. You may change or update your account information, including your password, at any time by clicking on "My Account".

    3. You may establish an Erooster profile page ("Profile Page") once your registration is complete. You may post content on your Profile Page, including personal information, videos, pictures, text, or other media. Users are responsible for the content they post on their respective Profile Pages. By default, any information or content you voluntarily disclose on your Profile Page may be collected by others. You can limit access to information on your Profile Page by customizing your adjustable privacy settings.

    4. Erooster will not share, sell, trade, or forward your personal information, e-mail address and/or contact information, or site-use details to third parties without your express consent. Erooster may contact you any time via e-mail without your consent to notify you of changes to the Site, policy matters related to Site use, or for other administrative purposes.

  2. Publicly Available Information

    1. Upon establishing an Erooster account, some account information, such as your registered location, date joined, frequency of logging in, and content you uploaded, may be tracked by other Erooster users.

    2. Any content you submit to Erooster (e.g., videos, text, pictures, and/or other media) may be distributed throughout the Internet as well as other video channels and may be viewed by Erooster users as well as the general public. Your content may also be forwarded or subscribed to by other Erooster users as well as other Web sites. Your user name will be displayed in conjunction with any content you submitted to Erooster so that other Site users may contact you by posting a comment on the Site in connection with that content or they may send you a message to your inbox, located on your Profile Page.

    3. If you choose to add personal information (e.g., e-mail, name, Web address, gender, age) to your videos, text, pictures, and/or other media, or Profile Page, this information will be available to other Erooster users. Information seen by others may also include media you have listed under your favorites or contests you have entered. If you have chosen to display a linked banner on your Profile Page, Erooster will have no control over the traffic leaving the Site to visit your Web address.

  3. Advertisement

    1. Third-party advertisers or ad serving companies may provide or display ads on the Site. Erooster does not provide personal information to these third-party ad servers or ad networks without prior consent.

    2. Advertisements may be provided using a range of information including, but not limited to, cookies, Web beacons, and IP addresses. Erooster intends to provide user-relevant advertising on the Site. Advertisers may provide ads to users based on interests associated with non-personally identifiable online activity or patterns associated with your use of the Site. These ads are not based on personally identifiable information.

    3. It is important to note that Erooster contains links to sites other than www.erooster.tv, and that those sites may not follow the same privacy and user policies followed by Erooster. This can include links to advertisers, content providers, and partners who may use Erooster's logo, and/or style, or other proprietary information as a result of a co-branding agreement. These sites may send their own cookies to you, and may collect data and make uses of that data in a manner that Erooster would not. Erooster's privacy policies do not apply to these linked sites. Erooster recommends that you consult any third party's respective privacy policies and practices if/when you leave the Site. The use of any information or materials that you may access at these external sites is purely voluntary. These third-party sites may also refer to specific commercial products, processes, or services by trade name, trademark, service mark, manufacturer, or otherwise. Unless Erooster has provided specific authority, such references in no way indicate endorsement, recommendation, or preference made by Erooster.

  4. Policy Updates and Notice

    1. Erooster can modify this Privacy Policy at any time and will, from time to time, update and make changes to this Privacy Policy as it sees fit in order to comply with high standards of privacy protection, for improvement of the user experience, and protection of other miscellaneous information received by Erooster through the Site.

    2. Erooster will provide notice on the Site and via e-mail that the Privacy Policy has been modified and/or updated.
